The Mephteria Saga

Allow me to welcome you to the official site of “The Mephteria Saga” (formerly “The Meptheria Chronicles”). Over the coming weeks and months, I will introduce you to the cast of characters, along with periodic updates to my progress in writing the series.

I am presently in the middle of editing Book One, tentatively titled “Murexa: The Catalyst”.

If you’re curious. allow me to briefly explain the scope and intent of the series:

I was inspired to write a low-fantasy series back in 2012, largely eschewing magic and the typical high fantasy fare we’re all familiar with. Having recently left WoW after spending significant time partnering my rogue with a hunter, I thought it would be a good premise for a partnership in a more grounded world. That’s where Bradacha and Arafax originated.

About a year later I had another idea: why not a story about a solo rogue? I figured it would make a great prequel premise, and by 2016 I managed to cobble together a first draft of a story starring Murexa. Admittedly, I wasn’t happy with the initial draft and shelved it until early 2024, when I began work on a side story. In short, that side story evolved into the first half of “The Catalyst”, while the second half is a full rewrite of the original story.

As for my vision for the full series? Murexa has her story in Book One. Bradacha will be the lead in Book Two, while Arafax will be the lead character of Book Three, concluding fifteen years after Murexa sets everything in motion.

Without giving away more details right now, I hope this provides enough insight into the project to pique your interest while I work diligently during my free time to polish the first book and get it ready for publication. This is my literary debut, so it’ll be a fun experience, I’m sure.
